I won this on ebay a few years ago an it is still my favorite vehicle in my entire collection. I bought the Clone Attack On Corurscant battle pack just to have a crew for the ship. This thing can hold a lot of figures for a $50.00 ship, and is extremely detailed. I don't have this exact one, but I have the one with Stass Allie, Agen Kolar & Shaak Ti. They are very good and durable, they have not broke. They're fun and cool. The only problem is where are the lightsabers? And Agen Kolar didn't come with a seat. He was in a very weird position so that he cannot sit down. But very good overall. We purchased several Clone Wars vehicles and action figures for our 2 boys aged 6 and 8 1/2. The action figures are ALL flimsy. Their hands come off and are lost and they are weak, flimsy plastic... not durable. These figures would be appropriate for a collection, something you would put on display. They can not and do not stand up to constant play. The age 4 yr suggestion is false advertising. My children own several kinds of action figure: GI Joes, The Corps, etc. These are by far the flimsiest and clearly inferior. We've never had actions figures wear down like this... even compared to the cheapo Corps stuff from Walmart! JUNK! I got this fighter for my 5-year-old for Christmas. It looks fantastic. A very impressive vehicle. However, you really can't play with it. The wings snap on weakly and fall off easily. I tried "flying" it myself and it just falls apart. This is definitely more for the older collector. My boys each received one of these for Christmas, and they absolutely loved them! However, they are not very durable at all. I had to send one of them back because, after a couple days, it wouldn't extend any more. They refunded my money, but then I had to reorder. I stumbled upon this set at a local Target and was suprised it was re-released. All ARC troopers are great but the heavy gunner and captain are the best of the two. I was disappointed with the lesser three ARC's articulation and lack thereof. The three ARCs don't move at the knees and their elbow joints are swivels, which means they can't hold their guns up very well without looking awkward. Their head joints are also a swivel, not a ball joint. Accessories are good and plentiful and the set looks extra cool with a republic gunship. Buy Star Wars Battle Packs – The Hunt for Grievous!

This Transformer starts as a Republic Gunship from the Star Wars prequel trilogy before turning into a clone pilot. Note that this Transformer has been released a few times with different paint jobs - the one I own has blue wings and a face painted on the front mirroring the Clone Wars cartoon series.

What I like about this one is that at first glance its difficult to tell how you make the robot from vehicle mode, since a large section of the body is hollow. The designers managed a neat trick by having various body parts tuck into one another or fold out. And despite the end robot being very top heavy, someone paid attention to the feet and the robot stands better than it has any right to. While I agree with the previous reviewer that some body parts do come off easily, this particular design is also a bit more forgiving in that the parts can snap right back on (compared to say, Boba Fett's arms from the Slave I design, which were a total pain).

What I don't like about this particular design is that like some of the other Star Wars models, the wings and some other parts have little to do except hang at the back of the finished robot. Chalk it up to the odd body shapes of Star Wars vehicles, but you kinda wish more loose ends would fold away nicely. The instructions were also a bit hard to follow the first time, but that could just be me.

Overall a Clone Trooper might not be the top character on everyone's buy list, but the transformation is certainly interesting enough to give it a try. One final note; for better or worse, the two gun turrets that become the robot's weapons are some of the best spring-loaded projectiles I've seen in a long time. The ones on other Star Wars Transformers tend to jam, but these babies fly like they're made in the 80s.
