As mentioned in numerous other reviews, the Death Star transformation is not for the faint of heart. It requires perseverance, full engagement, and deft hand steadiness to execute. If the Primus and Unicron are rated Skill Level 4, this thing should be about a 6. It takes patience and practice to learn how to best approach it. That's why I rated it high in educational, "brain" value... The Darth Vader mode is cool - with noises and lights and trash talk, but the conformation is not comparable to Unicron or Primus. I'd put it third of the three as a robot, with Unicron the baddest, most capable. As a planet though, the Death Star is striking, and embodies the ultimate evolution of the sphericals. It even has retractable stand legs, unlike the Primus.
Sitting side-by-side, they make a nice ensemble. Of the three, I like the Primus best for play value - quick and easy and fun to transform and show off with. But this one can be fun if you are up for the challenge, or is cool as a noisy paperweight in whichever mode, if you aren't...

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this toy (some other Hasbro Star Wars figurines practically fall apart out of the box) -- but this toy is sturdy with solid (though dumpy) action figures that go with it. I bought this for one of my grand son's in Nebraska for his fifth birthday. It was a big hit. I think he and his brother played it for 3 days straight. I would recommend it.

...he doesn't fully deserve them. He almost does. The articulation is good . It is durable enough for play(even if you play hard)and you can shoot Yoda with a sith lightning projectile. It looks very movielike. So why didn't i give 5 stars? 1)because the non projectile sith lightning isn't big enough 2)because i lost the friggin' lightsaber 3) because the top of head looks like a shrivled freaky butt! The royal guards are a great addition to your collection,and are fun to play with even if it has six points of articulation.(but that ain't a problem)!His vibro active force-pike can become easily lost and is hard to hold without the elastic band.His electro effect is easy to get on his pike.His crimson mask is very detailed.He is extremly detailed and he is very durable.He is very educational because of how much you have to learn to become the emperor's royal guards.Don't just look at it,GO BUY IT NOW!!!!!!Buy Star Wars Attack of the Clones Royal Guard!

This thing is sweet! You get it with his plastic robe. Remove it.
Now, you have a tattered Anakin. Remove both arms. I dare ya! Now, Anakin's not only armless, but he's peeved! Quick! Put the cybernetic arm on! Now put the really messed up arm on. Now, here's the fun part. You can slice the legs off! Not with the included lightsaber... No, not with an FX lightsaber... DEFINATLY NOT WITH THE KNIFE! Pull them off. Okay, you wookie, now pretend he's Jango Fett. Decapitate 'im! Now take the burnt head and put it on. Don't be shy. I would recommend this on a pile of charcoal. Lose the fire. It will look like Episode III! Also, put him on the Vader Transformation table. It is intended for moderate play. Not a tonka toy to throw at people. Also, don't give it to a 1 year old.

My 6 year old absolutely loves this Jango Fett Transformer and the other Star Wars transformers he has. After looking at the instructions once or twice he can make the transformations in a snap. He loves ALL his Star Wars traditional action figures and for the smaller kids the Galactic Heroes figures RULES. YES there are small parts, he knows not to lose the parts and has so far been careful about it. Well, lets put it this way. if you're a collector don't open it. It's actually a Boba Fett repaint. Don't get me wrong, the paint detail is awesome, but as far as pose ability goes its very loose and it has limited arm motion. I regret opening it because it looks way cooler in the box anyway. This toy is pretty good, but not really for playing. She has great detail, one of the best in detail so far. She has 3 points of articulation: her hands, arms, and head. If you put her lightsaber in her hands and move them up and down, it looks like she's cutting something in two. Though you might not want her, you still need her if you wish to recreate the battle arena (and you'll also need the other jedi that are coming out; I wish Hasbro would hurry up so I can recreate the battle arena scene).Buy Star Wars AOTC Shaak Ti Action Figure!
