Star Wars A New Hope Figure: Tatooine Transaction R1-G4

วันเสาร์ที่ 30 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2552

This is an action figure completely devoid of action. He has two little "Robby the Robot" arms that extend about 3/8 of an inch and he seems to be jointed down near the bottom of his base, but the range of motion is negligible.

Lack of movement, however, is not a problem as the sculpt and deco on this figure are GREAT! It's filthy, dented, scraped, and possibly rusty. It looks like it's been out in the Tatooine desert, being man-handled (Jawa-handled?) for a long time. Very nice attention to detail on what was a background character in one scene from the first Star Wars movie.

It's also one of the larger figures that Hasbro has created in a while. Not Ephant Man large, but Gamorrean Guard-ish in proportion.

Star Wars fans should be very pleased with R1-G4. Even sci-fi fans with a fondness for robots will find something to like with this one. Those arms and the preponderance of vacuum tubes give it the feel of an old B-movie robot that seems more pneumatic than robotic.

Great job by Hasbro in making another figure just for us manic collector-types.Buy Star Wars A New Hope Figure: Tatooine Transaction R1-G4!

Star Wars Episode 3 BF68 AT-RT Driver

I am not happy at all with this product. I received it today and it was not what I thought it was. The photo was so small it was misleading. I thought I was buying a bigger walking toy. This is a tiny action figure for $20! It is going to cost more time and money to return it. The seller needs to put a big picture so you can really see how big this figure is. I thought I was buying a toy that was big and I ended up paying for a tiny stocking stuffer. Not happy at all.Buy Star Wars Episode 3 BF68 AT-RT Driver!

Star Wars: Episode 2 > Battle Droid (Arena Battle) Red Variant Action Figure

Okay, first of all, his legs are made of nice FIRM plastic, not "rubber". Secondly, he stands up very EASILY, and his gun fits perfectly in his hands; his head doesn't come off with a touch. That's why he has a clear elastic band to keep his head in place. Lastly, he has nice detachable electrical energy that can be wrapped around other action figures. This figure is a GOOD toy, not a lousy one. P.S. He has a really nice backpack that has a slot that you can fit his gun into.Buy Star Wars: Episode 2 > Battle Droid (Arena Battle) Red Variant Action Figure!

I hope that they will FINALY come in stock! Toys R Us seems to NEVER have ANY of the figures. Over all I recomend these figures because, there absolutely superb! I'm STILL waiting for R2-D2, Chewbacca, and C-3PO!!! Buy Star Wars Trilogy Collection 3.75" Figure: R2-D2!

Star Wars Saga 2008 30th Anniversary Wave 1 Action Figure Kashyyyk Trooper

Overall, this is a good trooper to reenact the Kashyyyk battle in Episode 3. The paint job is good, the camouflage looks similar to the kind the U.S. Marines wore in the Pacific during WWII. Finally, a clone trooper that can actually blend in with his surroundings and not stand out like a white bulls-eye! Although the paint is good, the armor is detailed, and the helmet's face plate can be flipped up to reveal the clone's face, there are some flaws with the design. The most dissapointing was the clone's lack of grip on the single rifle he comes with. Every time you had him looking through the sights and tried to move him-oops! The left hand and maybe both hands just drop it. This isn't that big of a deal, but it does interrupt the flow of reenacting the assassination attempt on Yoda, or battling droids in the Kashyyyk jungle. There also isn't very good articulation at the waist, forcing the clone into a hunchback most of the time. Still, this is a good trooper and a good addition to a dedicated Star Wars fan's collection. Star Wars Celebration Iv: Concept R2-d2 & C-3po [Toy]

วันพุธที่ 27 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2552

Back in the early 80's my brother bought a Ralph Mcquarrie "Star Wars" "Portfolio" with "Letterbox" style pre-production paintings for the "first" "Star Wars" film. I remember how my imagination ran wild with the "alternate" versions of all the main characters. I espescially dug the Luke vs. Darth Vader painting where Vader had this very wolf-like mask where the top helmet was much more Samuri looking and the mouth grill came out like the snout of a wolf (an Luke looked cool with the oxygen mask too).
The Stormtroopers looked cooler too, and they had lightsabers! and shields!
And the painting of the two droids was cool because R2 looked much more expressive and functional, and 3PO looked just like the robot from "Metropolis".

Anyway, someone, somewhere, had the brilliant idea to actually make action figures based on these early pre-production paintings by McQuarrie!

I've managed to purchase the first 8 of the 12 thus far (Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Luke, C-3PO and R2-D2, Chewbacca, & Ben Kenobi and Yoda) and look forward to the final 4 (Leia Starkiller [back when "Luke" might have been a chick!], Han [George Lucas] Solo, Snowtrooper, and the one I've been wanting since around 1980: McQuarrie Darth Vader!).

Bottom line, amazing sculpts, genius idea, a must have for die-hard SW fans!Buy Star Wars Celebration Iv: Concept R2-d2 & C-3po [Toy]!

Titanium Series Star Wars 3 Inch Vehicles Dewback With Storm Trooper

This thing does look cool but unfortunately that depends on what angle you position it. If you look at it from the side the way the stand is designed to connect to the lizard, it looks like the big lizard is impaled on a giant pole. Surely it would have made a lot more sense to attach the thing to the stand through its feet. Although the makers have gone to some effort with the reptile's paint job and even it's texture sort of feels like a reptile, you can clearly see where the different moulds that make up this thing were glued together (top half to bottom half, head to body and limbs to body. Also what would have made this thing cool would have been if the limbs and head could move and rotate. They don't so the pose you see in the picture is all you can do with it. You can't take the stormtrooper off either. Also if you take it off the stand you can see the screws underneath also holding it together. If you can get it for a few bucks its worth it, but I don't pay much for this.

At least this is one of the few vehicles (if you can call a giant lizard a reptile) where they actually included a figure (stormtrooper).

Like with all the Titanium range, the packaging isn't designed well for display. You've pretty much got no option but to open the packaging.

Star Wars Attack of the Clones Obi-wan Kenobi Jedi Starfighter Action Figure

วันจันทร์ที่ 25 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2552

I loved this figure from the minute i saw it. He has great accessories, and i have always liked when Hasbro has made clothing accessories. He also has the magnetic grip and a neat little highly detailed metal lightsabre with slashing action( it doesn't work so well with the cape on, but it works fine when cape is removed) He has a great detailed likeness to the movie, and if you have the Jedi Fighter he's thrice the fun!Buy Star Wars Attack of the Clones Obi-wan Kenobi Jedi Starfighter Action Figure!

Star Wars - 1999 - Power of the Force - Jawa & Gonk Droid - Comm Tech Chip - Limited Edition - Collectible - (PR)

This Jawa is a cooler sculpt than the first two from the new line. The commtech chip has all the appropriate Jawa and Power Droid (I prefer to use the original name of the character from the Kenner line) noises. To top it off, the Power Droid is a dead-on sculpt, BUT he can't stand up, since the moving legs do not stop in line...they stop is a walking position and he has no peg to stand him on the base either. Good two-pack though.Buy Star Wars - 1999 - Power of the Force - Jawa & Gonk Droid - Comm Tech Chip - Limited Edition - Collectible - (PR)!
