I purchased this for my 3 year old son. He loves it!

Functions:
1: Guns on top move and make noise when you press the button.
2: Radar dish turns(manually).
3: Button on top of the ship plays audio(attempts to engage hyper-drive).
4: Ship opens up (rear half of ship)
5: Inside button, plays character audio (C3P0, etc...)
6: Inside button / small hose. (if the outside button is pressed, sometimes the hyper-drive will 'break' you are supposed to use the hose to 'fix' the hyper-drive by pressing the button inside the ship with it.)
7: The outside cockpit opens and fits in a figurine.
8: Inside ramp can deploy.

Pros:
The guns are fun, my son loves to fly the ship around firing them.
The whole broken hyper-drive / fixing it function is fun, my son loves using the 'hose' to fix the ship.

Cons:
The deployable ramp can fall off easily.
The guns can fall off easily.

Overall:
Great value toy for a young child, the few pieces that can be knocked off attach back on easily. I had reservations about ordering two of these for my boys (7 and 9) after reading the poor reviews here, but decided to try anyway. After some struggles getting the thing put together - reading the instructions on this one is key - it seems to be working fine. We initially had some of the legs in the wrong sockets, and they kept falling off. My 5 year old loves the idea of having the tank, but the turret and side cannon parts are constantly falling off, and they are somewhat challenging to put back on. This frustrates my son a lot. I can super glue the side cannons so that they stay on, but the turret cannot be glued if you still want it to turn. I just bought the Turbo Tank for my six-year old boy for Christmas. It's pricey (altho I get it from Amazon for 20% than I saw it elsewhere) but great fun. My son put it together himself and was playing with it the entire day. It's much more durable than many of the recent Star Wars/Clone Wars toys and, with those great big wheels, much more mobile. Best of all, it must have over twenty different features (firing cannons, a launching speeder bike, lights and sounds, and different nooks and crannies to place a whole squad of troopers) to keep the kids entertained. This toy was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. I remember him opening it and being very excited. Christmas Day it took me an hour to get it enough together so the parts weren't "popping" out. After my struggles, my son promptly took it apart and turned it back into Darth Vader. It has never seen it's Death Star shape since that day. Well, today he pulled it out and asked me to transform back into the Death Star. This thing really sucks. I tried to follow the worthless instructions to no avail. I have been working on it for about a half hour and finally said enough was enough. My son was watching me and trying to help but it just does not fit together well. Like some of the other reviewers have stated... the tolerances are just to TIGHT! Once you get one part in it's place, another pops off. Then you go back and put the popped off piece back in place another one pops off. It's a never ending cycle. As I'm writing this, my son is singing a new song he made up... "I hate this Death Star... lalalala". I think we will play a game with it and destroy it outside later by smashing it with a sledge hammer and then setting it on fire. I got this Clone Trooper Blaster and the Star Wars Rebel Trooper Blaster for my son (age 5). And he loves both of them. This one is a bit harder to operate with the cocking mechanism being on the side and requiring a little more strength. The other one is easier to cock & fire, has a place for 2 extra bullets, and I think it shoots them a bit farther.
