Cheap Star Wars 2002 A New Hope Djas Puhr Alien Bounty Hunter

วันศุกร์ที่ 12 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2553

I passed on Djas Puhr (Jasper? c'mon!) the first few times I saw him. Something about him was too "Star Trek" for my tastes. Maybe it was the big head on the humanoid body. Maybe it was the fact that the character is SO obscure that the picture of him on the package is the one shot of him from the entire saga (I'm not even sure he survived the "Special Edition"). I finally bit last week. I was in a buying mood and he was the only figure I found in three different stores that I didn't already have.

I'm really glad I finally got him. Out of the package (yes, I'm an opener) he looks really good. Nice paint, nifty sculpt--though he DOES fall over easily without a stand, the guns are a bit flimsy but they fit well into his holsters, and he looks really cool hanging out with the rest of the freaks in the Cantina.

Maybe it is more of a figure for the collectors out there but we collector types spend a lot of money on this particular obsession so kudos to Hasbro for making one for the big kids.Get more detail about Star Wars 2002 A New Hope Djas Puhr Alien Bounty Hunter.

Buying Star Wars 500TH FIGURE DARTH VADER

this is a excellent figure..what a way for hasbro to clebrate their 500th figure. with none other than the sith lord darth vader himself in his hyperbaric chamber.
this figure is well done, vader himself is seated with the mechanical arm lowering his helmet onto him(or removing it..with a lever on the back) the figure has this "snap lock seal sound" when the figure is lowered and locked into place...vader also has his cape, and of course his deadly crimson bladed lightsaber...whats there not to like??

this figure is a special edition..so try not to open it( the packaging is beautiful also)..and the bottom has some information about the figure and a serial number is stamped on there is a cool pic of vader there as well. if you have to open one up make sure you get another one!

this was hard to find..it took me 3 months before i snagged one of these.. they sold out quickly at the stores and when episode III came out..these were nowhere to be seen..except on ebay with those uber inflated prices. this is a cherished piece in my collection...
the only way hasbro could make this better..would have been to include a sound chip with vaders "breathing" and the sound of the chamber opening and closing...but this is still fantastic. id give this figure a 10 if i could..its a class act.. Buy Transformers Crossovers General Grievous to Grevous Starfighter

วันพฤหัสบดีที่ 11 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2553

This is the second Star Wars Transformers toy based on General Grievous, the first one being Hasbro Star Wars Transformers - General Grievous Mono Wheel Bike. He can go from Starfighter to droid mode and comes with two Lightsabers and a firing projectile weapon.

For anyone who collects Transformers or has at least bought a couple in the Star Wars line, this one comes as something of a disappointment. First, it's not based on a really recognizable ship from the Star Wars universe. Now in general the ships of the prequel trilogy aren't as distinctive as say an X-Wing or TIE Fighter, but some like the Star Wars Transformers Crossovers Republic Gunship got a bit of spotlight and really stand out with their intriguing design. This ship was pretty much background material in Episode III, sitting on the platform where Grievous and Obi-Wan have their final duel (Obi-Wan steals it to escape). It's kind of easy to miss if you aren't paying attention.

The other strike against this toy is that the transformation is pretty standard. Most of the ship is simply a shell from which the arms and legs fold out. The shell then hangs awkwardly on Grievous' back, and even detaches if you pull a little too hard (it easily snaps back on). Bottom line, the best Transformers toys surprise you in how they go from vehicle to robot mode, and there's no real surprises here.

An okay Transformers toy, but there are more interesting ones in the toy line. Get more detail about Transformers Crossovers General Grievous to Grevous Starfighter.

Order Star Wars Basic Figure McQuarrie Series Chewbacca

วันพุธที่ 10 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2553

This product: funky alternatives! Early version of Chewbacca before filming for Star Wars even begin as desinged by Ralph Mcquarrie.

In General: Back in the early 80's my brother bought a Ralph Mcquarrie "Star Wars" "Portfolio" with "Letterbox" style pre-production paintings for the "first" "Star Wars" film. I remember how my imagination ran wild with the "alternate" versions of all the main characters. I espescially dug the Luke vs. Darth Vader painting where Vader had this very wolf-like mask where the top helmet was much more Samuri looking and the mouth grill came out like the snout of a wolf (an Luke looked cool with the oxygen mask too).
The Stormtroopers looked cooler too, and they had lightsabers! and shields!
And the painting of the two droids was cool because R2 looked much more expressive and functional, and 3PO looked just like the robot from "Metropolis".

Anyway, someone, somewhere, had the brilliant idea to actually make action figures based on these early pre-production paintings by McQuarrie!

I've managed to purchase the first 8 of the 12 thus far (Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Luke, C-3PO and R2-D2, Chewbacca, & Ben Kenobi and Yoda) and look forward to the final 4 (Leia Starkiller, Han [George Lucas] Solo, Snowtrooper, and the one I've been wanting since around 1980: McQuarrie Darth Vader!).

Bottom line, amazing sculpts, genius idea, a must have for die-hard SW fans!Get more detail about Star Wars Basic Figure McQuarrie Series Chewbacca.

Where To Buy Star Wars Mighty Muggs Vinyl Boba Fett Figure

I bought one for my four year old nephew for his birthday, and proudly it is his favorite toy now. He loves the jetpack and he flies it all over his house. My sister said he takes it everywhere.

I also bought it for my unborn son. My wife is due in July. It makes an awesome addition to the nursery. Of course, he probably won't get to play with it for a while, but I'm starting him early.Get more detail about Star Wars Mighty Muggs Vinyl Boba Fett Figure.

Star Wars Saga 2007 SDCC Comic-Con Exclusive Action Figure Shadow Scout Trooper on Speeder Bike Top Quality

Wow!!! simply amazing. the shadow scout is basically the '06 vtsc biker scout with a different paint job. it comes with a blaster, which the figure has a little trouble holding on to. dont no if this is just mine, or everyones.

the speeder bike doesnt have the exploding feature that some of the older speeder bikes had, and was given a new paintjob, plus awesome features like brakes, clasped steering handles, and flip up flaps on the engine.

all and all, a great toy. :)Get more detail about Star Wars Saga 2007 SDCC Comic-Con Exclusive Action Figure Shadow Scout Trooper on Speeder Bike.

Hasbro Star Wars Transformers - Blue Arc 170 This instant

วันอาทิตย์ที่ 7 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2553

I'm a big Star Wars fan, and so is my 9 year old son. He loves this toy, more so because of the ARC-170 fighter itself instead of the transforming ability. He enjoys using the transforming to "modify" the ship and has a blast with it. He also has the AT-AT Walker and loves that one too.Get more detail about Hasbro Star Wars Transformers - Blue Arc 170.

Star Wars Clone Wars ARC-170 Fighter Vehicle Immediately

I got this fighter for my 5-year-old for Christmas. It looks fantastic. A very impressive vehicle. However, you really can't play with it. The wings snap on weakly and fall off easily. I tried "flying" it myself and it just falls apart. This is definitely more for the older collector. It is huge, though, so you'll need a pretty big shelf!Get more detail about Star Wars Clone Wars ARC-170 Fighter Vehicle.
